Players Gonna Play is more than a golf tournament.

It is a full day experience of golf, giveaways, contests, prizes, and a concert at sunset.

Event proceeds benefit River & Rail Theatre Company, an IRS Approved 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.

Schedule of Events

8:00am-9:30am - Arrival / Player Check-In

  • Golfers will check in outside The Shed, receive swag bags, and be assigned carts

  • Each golfer will receive commemorative polos, hats, koozies, tees, and stickers

10:00am - 2 Man Texas Scramble

  • Each player tees off, select the best drive, then play own ball until ball is holed

  • Better of two scores counts as team score for the hole

Beginning at 11:30am - Lunch

  • Swing by the patio at the turn and pick up lunch (included in entry fee)

1:00pm - 2 Man Modified Alternate Shot

  • Each player tees off, select the best drive, then alternate shot until ball is holed

3:00 - Long Drive/Putting Contest Finals

  • 3 finalists in Long Drive and Putting Contest will compete in the Finals

  • Other participants will comprise the gallery

3:30 - Awards / Open Play

  • Winners of contests, rounds, and tournament will receive prizes

  • Enjoy open play at Sweetens Cove

Long Drive Contest

  • Winner will receive new Titleist Driver

Closest to the Pin/Hole-In-OneContest

  • 2 winners will receive new Titleist Wedge

  • If any golfer scores a hole-in-one on the designated hole during the designated round, they will win a $10,0000 Pebble Beach Golf Vacation

Putting Contest

  • Winner will receive Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Plus Putter
